is it worth it to buy PC Case with USB-C ports ?

right now I can't think of any other thing that i will use the type-C port for. what are the devices i can use for Type-C in the PC case?

P.S. For my work i have many printers that use USB 2.0/3.0.

P.P.S. I asked this question because I'm eye-ing to buy Montech SKY TWO that have TYPE-C, I love its front glass. there are other PC case that have 3x USB 3.0 that will benefit my work, but it doesn't have front glass that i love.

P.P.P.S. I want to buy a device that uses Type-C so I won't feel that port is useless 🤣, if ever i will buy that case

Currently the fastest speed ports for external file transfer devices are USB 3.2 Gen2x2 which are type C ports. Such high speed ports are great for connecting external drives when backing up your internal drives, which is something that most people like to do in case a problem develops with their internal windows installation and they need to restore a working version.

When USB 4 becomes more wide spread, it only uses Type C

So case designers getting ahead of the pack.

Up until USB 4, type C was just a connector, it didn't necessarily mean the USB device was fast. USB 4 just means more people will get ripped off buying a USB 2 drive marked as being USB 4 and people may not know any better... especially if everyone associates the connector with a faster drive.

Type C is a connection form factor, same as mini or micro USB or the old type A box. It has the capability to handle everything from charge, fast charge, slow to Uber data transfer but that depends on 2 things. The wire in question hooked to it and the connection to the motherboard.

Meaning, you can adapter an old pcie2.0 and hook it upto a Type C port, but your charge capability will be almost non-existent (good enough to power a led mouse) and data rate will be abysmally slow, or can be hooked to pcie5.0 headers for maximum ability to charge an iPad at fast charge and be barely any slower than an SSD for data transfer.

PC's and components are never purpose built for the public, that's called an Xbox. A PC will always have extra, extra ports, extra hdd cages, extra fan ports, extra buttons, gizmos, doohickeys and gimmicks that you personally will never use, but someone else might.

If you like the case, want the case, the type C, whether used or not, should not ever be a determining factor unless it has a lack of, and a need for. Otherwise it's just another extra.
