Im trying to replicate a garage remote that i have
I came across this component with 2 pins and a screw in between
I dont know what it is or what its called
If anyone can shed a light it would be appreciated.

My guess would be a variable resistor for tuning the oscillator. I hope you get a more knowledgeable answer, though. Did you try a google image search?

It's connected in parallel with a pair of capacitors, on the end of long PCB track looking like an antennae. Could be variable resistor (without middle point) as @OldSurferDude said, for tuning the frequency/

alexoiu has the correct answer.
It is a tuning capacitor.
Any markings on the component, as this usually hints on the value (range) of the capacitor.
