Hello everyone! Today I just began building my first PC. All has been going well and I haven't had much trouble and there hasn't been any issues but this one. I attempted to boot up my PC once and no fans or anything worked. I then saw that I forgot one wire and I can not find where it goes to. I've watched several videos and read the manuals but I can not figure out where this leads into or what it does. I double checked, and my power supply, motherboard components, and everything else seems to be in the correct place

the nzxt phantom comes with a inbuilt fan controller and so the molex connector is for fan control and its very useful .....

It's a male Molex connector. I'd guess that it is there to power case fans. Are all your fans working? If so forget it; if not plus a female Molex connector from your PSU into it.

Edit: I see that you say that nothing is working. This should affect only the case fans, nothing else. Your CPU fan, and graphics card fan, should work. Try it plugged in anyway.

no its a molex connector for the fan controllerr in the case you have to connect it to a molex plug in your psu to activate the fan controller...and pls dont forget to install it...... the other small 3pin plugs you will find in the case are for the case fans and can directly control its speed from low /medium/high so its much of a use.....

What so you confirmed that from the Psu you connected the 24 pin atx main block.
The eight pin connector form the Psu to the black 8 pin block of the motherboard.
The block is located at the top of the board just behind the cpu socket and about half of an inch from the end of the board.
If you don't plug it in the board will not power up ok.

And have you made sure that all the 12v pci-e connectors are connected to the edge of the Graphics card.

If yea is the answer to them all.
Check that the rocker switch on the back of the Psu is turned on to normal operation.
People forget about that on a first time build ect.

what you have there is a Molex connector, specifically a male. I actually find them to be quite common, but my PC is running off 2008 parts, so I'm not sure what has replaced Molex, if anything. If you're wondering, they power lots of stuff. For example, I have one powering a case fan, another connected to an adapter that powers my GPU, and another that connects to another adapter to power my HDD. It's very versatile provided you have the correct adapters, or else you'll be stuck plugging that male Molex into a female Molex.

try flipping the switch on the back of the PSU so that the I symbol is pushed DOWN. Try powering up the PC again. Also, you have connected the CPU power pin on the motherboard too, right?
