Yesterday I plugged in a Panda Wireless USB wireless adapter to replace my internal Qualcomm Atheros adapter that came in the computer. It immediately boosted my internet and signal strength on this 8.1 desktop. Although when I was looking under the Network tab I noticed under network infrastructure there was my router, and then another icon, a modem with an antenna called UbeeAP. Right clicking it doesn't yield much info, just a MAC address. This never appeared when I had my Qualcomm adapter enabled, and it doesn't appear on my Windows 7 desktop. What is it? Is it my modem? I have a Motorola modem and a router next to it. Sometimes it disappears, but then it comes back. Internet Connection Sharing is turned off. My Wi-Fi was renamed to Wi-Fi 2 as well, would that have anything to do with it? Does this affect my computer at all?
