What is Visual Basic Scripting Support? Where do i

On both my machines, i try to view windows Update page and get a blank. A window pops uo and says i need to download Visual Basic Scripting Support, from the windows update cd. What is a windows update cd?, It also gives the choice to download it from the internet, but when i try to it says it can't and that i should go to the windows update page!!!
One machine runs 95B and the other is 98 OEM. Also the help files in win 98 wont show because of this visual basic thing. I re installed IE 5.0 with no luck.
Any ideas, I'm really frustrateda nd don't know what to do next.

It is referring to the Windows Scripting Host (WSH).

Start > Settings > Control_Panel > Add/Remove_Programs

Under the 'Windows_Setup' tab, double click 'accessories', scroll down and you will find the WSH entry.

Enabling WSH has its drawbacks, you will be vulnerable to VBS script viruses.
