I keep getting a crash every 20-30 minutes.
A screen comes up saying "Watch has caused an invalid..."
The screen can not be closed, it gives details re Kernell 32 DLL...and codes EAX,EDX,ECX etc.
The only way to get rid of the screen is to reboot.
other programs still run okay behind it though if i leave it there, but it blocks a piece of my screen.
What does the program "watch" do ?
can i disable it ,is it corupted or is it telling me that something else is screwy?
I have checked my RAM, Mobo is okay....?????help?

Mustek scanners come with a program called Watch.

Iomega Zip drives have a watch program too (not sure if it's actually called 'watch' though).

Anyway, whatever it is, just disable it, either from Start>Programs>Startup if it's there, or the startup tab in msconfig.

haha !...thanks mate .
Correct , i have a mustek scanner...obviously the program is corrupted, man it was causing me problems...it seemed like a hardware problem the way it only crashed after 20 minutes every time.
one of lifes little mysteries.
cheers.

Also a thing to think about when you get Kernel32.dll errors. If this occurs a lot you need to keep in mind a Format and re-install could be in order. Your Kernel is the HEART of your OS when you have problems with that then you know a Fresh install will assure you its not the OS. Then you can search other avenues to fix your problem. Or vice versa. Whichever you prefer. ;-) Also if you want to figure out what the Watch.exe or watch.dll file is goto Microsoft and do a search for the file name you'll find a detailed explination usually. Remember in most Windows O/S's there are some programs that phone home hence the name ET's. Well lets just say all Windows software except Win95 and below.

Glad I could help.

The Mustek watch program has caused quite a few probs judging by the complaints I've seen on the net.

Perhaps yours isn't actually corrupt, maybe there's a later version.
