A good 10 years of video card history there. Averages out 1 card a year, although the Voodoo 1 wasn't really a video card per sae more of a video accelerator that worked with your existing hardware. Still it makes the list for being so ground breaking, GTX295 SLI my kisss my arse, Voodoo 1, that's were it's at!

1st: Number Nine Video Technologies S3 Savage 4 16mb AGP4x (MechWarrior 3 worked brilliantly on this!)

2nd: GeForce 2 GTS 32MB (Asus V7700) AGP

3rd: ATI Radeon X1250 (integrated, mobo, only for a few months though 😉)

4th: HIS ATI Radeon HD 3870

5th: Visiontek ATI HD 4850

I really kept the first two a long time, heh.

1: S3 Virge DX 4meg (This card was awsome ! lol)
2: Riva TNT2 32Meg (winfast)
3: Geforce 2 MX (was pretty awful)
4: nvidia 4200ti (I had this card for ages)
5: Ati X800
6: 8800GTS 512meg (I spilt water all over this, and broke it 🙁 )
7: Zotac 9800GTX (I plan on keeping this one for a while)

Let's see..

some card with my 386 (dunno)

Integrated on my old Intel motherboard (2MB with removable memory on the motherboard!)

Radeon Rage 128 pro

Radeon 7500 PCI 64MB

Radeon 7000 AGP 64MB

Radeon 9600XT AGP 128MB

Radeon X1650XT AGP 512MB

Radeon 2600XT AGP 512MB

Nvidia 8800mGTX 512MB

Suppose I have bought a lot of ATI cards - never realized that. Ha. I had a TNT2 at one point, long with a Geforce 2.

Integrated

TNT2 32mb

Geforce2MX400 64mb

MSI Geforce 5200 128mb

MSI Geforce8500GT 256mb ddr2

PNY Geforce8800GTS 512mb ddr3(arriving tomorrow yeah!)

Pretty loyal to the green camp. Pretty funny the ram value multiplies by 2 in every upgrade.

Integrated 8MB

Geforce2 32MB AGP pro

New PC - Onboard 64MB

ATI 9200SE 128MB

ATI 9600 (maybe 9700)

ATI x800GTO 256MB (256-bit, high pipe count, GDDR3, PCI 16x, beast in its days)

Nvidia 7950GT 512MB

ATI HD3870 512MB GDDR4

ATI HD4870 1GB GDDR5 *flex*
(Getting a 2nd in a few months)

ATI Radeon 7000 agp 64mb (barely dx7 capable)

Nvidia 6600 256mb AGP (was a cracker back then)

Nvidia 6600GT 256mb AGP (256mb GT models were rare so I was chuffed at having one)

Nvidia 7600GT 256mb PCI-E (wow this thing was easily 2-3 times faster than the old GT, maxed F.E.A.R lol)

Nvidia 7900GT 256mb PCI-E (Even od'd to 700mhz core/850mhz mem was not the upgrade I thought it would be, never had any affection for it)

ATI Radeon 2900 Pro (Heard it was an overclocking legend, died after 24 hours though, curse you Ebay)

ATI Radeon 4870 512mb (got one as soon as they were available, the sheer power was unbelievable. From what ive seen of crysis, its easily between 4 to 6 times (with cat 9.2 id say about 4.5 to 7 times) more powerful than my heavily oc'd 7900gt in the exact same comp. I almost wet myself lolz plan on keeping it for 3 years - so until july 2011 - and let it grow old gracefully like all those 8800GTX owners have been able to do)

Unless its a pig 2900xt style I intend on getting whatever ATI have got for 200 quid in summer 2011.

First, whatever was in a 386, then a 1MB card in a Cyrix P150+ system a friend built for me.
