In my endeavor to fix an IBM monitor, I have found a FET that has a (full
continuity) short between S and D. It is in the SO-220 package with the
following lettering on it:
SEC
730
1RF9620
The circuit board clearly marks the device as a FET. A Google search on the
numbers I list above brings only one website that appears to sell the device
but it's all in Chinese! Do I need a translator or is there a comperable FET
I can put on the PCB? It was located on a heat sink and close to the flyback
coil and the power supply on the monitor's PCB. There is another module that
looks identical to it and mounts on the same heat sink. I do not have
sophisticated transistor testers to look up the gain and all that but
perhaps I'm going ot have to find one?
