Hi there.

Right now, i m really angry, cause i don t know what could be the problem i m looking for. So i think it is the best, to ask for the help of the experts. A few days ago while i was gaming, i noticed a huge FPS loss in world of warcraft. This happened to me two weeks after installing my new CPU, a used I5 3470, along with 8 gigs of ram, and a new b75 mobo. I also have a samsung 850 evo 256gb ssd. So, first i thought that the CPU is the problem. I ran Prime 95 burn test, for around an hour, but my cpu passed everything, and the maximum CPU temperature was 58C. I have an aftermarket cooler, a Zalman CNPS5X Performa. Not to mention, that my CPU is not overclocked. So i decided to use a monitoring program while gaming. After that, i tried wow again, it ran smooth for a while, but after that i experienced the huge FPS loss again, and what was wierd about, my GPU usage rised from 60% to 99-100%. Is this some kind of driver issue, or is my GPU dying. I have absolutely no idea what could be the problem. Perhaps it s nothing, but exactly a few days ago i ve modified my SATA settings in the bios, which was in IDE mode, but i ve modified it for SATA for the full speed of my SSD. What is also interesting, that my GPU usage is 99% even if i m not doing anything on my desk. Oh, forgot to mention, I have an Asus GTX 960 2GB model, with factory oc. This shit happens in all of my games i ve tested. Please help me!!!
I m using windows 10.

FPS suddenly dropping at the same time the GPU goes to 100% load is usually a sign of the GPU overheating and thermal throttling. Take a look at your GPU temps and clock speed when the FPS drop happens.

It's possible when you installed the new hardware, you knocked the GPU so its fan is stuck and not spinning at full speed, or you're somehow blocking the GPU's air intake/exhaust (or piping hot air from the CPU into it), or the heatsink has come loose. Verify that your GPU is thermal throttling, then take measures to correct the problem.
Let me make sure I understand ... you installed a new MoBo, CPU and RAM ... and then you immediately formatted the SSD and reinstalled Windows fresh right ?

Your system can't switch from the Strix to the IGPU ... you'd have to unhook the monitor cable from the Strix and connect it to the MoBo for this to happen. Turning off IGPU in BIOS will have no effect on your system, it might if it was heavily overclocked.
