What kind of PSU cables would you need if your building a gaming pc?

Its 8 pin cpu now. And it varies depending on what you want to put in your system. Most good quality power supplies will have enough cables for a regular gaming pc.

No, its just most likely an older board. Most new boards have an 8 pin cpu connector.
