What kind of temp differnces are being seen between cores on the i7 6700k?

The main reason I ask this is I have a i7 6700k that has massive fluctuations between cores regarding temps. I am seeing as much a 20c spread between my coldest and hottest core at times. Core 1 seems to be the hottest while core 2 is the coldest for whatever that's worth.

Benching with an older version of prime 95. but have also tried the new one as well as other benches.

Also, if any of you could post your core temps I would be so grateful.

Solution
I strongly disagree of the usage of Prime95 (any version) as it can and does damage CPU's when going for a long time.

anyway, it does happen that CPUs use power of cores differently in multi core uses, depending on how available and what other processes that are running on that core. for example, windows might be running on core 1, and the CPU is preserving most of the core for windows, while all of the other cores are hard working on running all the calculations in prime95.

What are your exact parts?

Also, what are your average temps?

Solution
Computer specs are i7 6700k
16gb G skill tridentz 16gb
Asus Maximus Viii Hero Alpha and Gigabyte gaming 7
Corsair 650w PSU
Hyper EVO 212 for cooler (Noctua D15s On the way)
Nvidia reference GTX 980ti

My temps get close to close 80c on my hot core. That is core 1. Core 2 is on the cold side and I've seen it lag behind as much as 20c. I do not like this widespread regarding my cores temps.

Also, I've tried resetting the heatsink more than once with the same results.

as I said, the CPU is reserving cores for more important tasks than running prime95. windows for example.

there will always be a discreptincy in core temps, and in your case it might just be a little wider than usuall. nothing to worry about though.
