So, I'm pretty settled on getting the ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus. It really seems like the best buy right now and after reading all the reviews I don't see why not to get it. So my question is what memory should I get. I know I want 2GB of DDR2 800 memory. I was looking at Crucial Ballistix BL2KIT12864AA804 @ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820146565

I was looking at Crucial because I read that they use mirconD9 chips which are the best ones for overclocking. I don't plan to overclock right away, but I would like to have that option in the future. So what do you guys think, is there something better out there for me? Keep in mind the most I'm willing to pay for memory is $280, and please explain your answer, just don't say this brand is better, please tell me why. Thanks for the advise ahead of time.

First, you need to think about how much OCing you will be doing. DDR2-800 run at 1:1 is already overclocking a C2D by 50%, so what are the chances your CPU/MB will run stably faster than that?
You can get good quality DDR2-800 RAM that is still overclockable for $175, so it's your call whether or not to spend over 60% extra for capability you likely won't use.

Well like I said, I don't want to over clock at the moment, I just would like to have the option available to me in the future. What would you recommend?

Supposedly Buffalo Firestix still use Micron D9GMH and they are about $190 an newegg. Out of stock unfortunately. I myself am planning on getting 2Gb of G.Skill DDR2-800 C4 sticks
