What mobos for PIV?

Does anyone know what mobos we have for PIV these days? Is there any rumors what we will have in near future?

I think you mean i850... The i850 will be a RAMBUS only chipset, and much like the i840 will be Dual Channel (Needs 2 RIMMS). Via plan to reliase a P4 chipset, as do ALi. But take my advice: Go for an Athlon w/266Mhz FSB and a Ali MaGiK 1 (DDR) Chipset. THis little combo will kick a P4 1.5GHz. And don't think about the VIA KT266, The ALi is MUCH faster

Thanks for the informed post! PIV will not run on an i840 platform? I thought that was the interim release as the i850 was jammed up in production.

The PIV will look attractive once it starts utilizing ddr...

ALi's implementation superior to VIA's? Can you elaborate a bit on how so?

Agree with you that AMD w/ Micron l3 cache ddr (Mamba)is going to be mindboggle-fast.
