I'm having a hard time finding a new computer monitor. I've recently just built a brand new computer that I believe will have no problem handling a 4k monitor. I just can't find anything out there right now. So I need your help.

Specs:
i7-6700k
MSI 980ti x 2 in sli
64GB Trident Z @ 3200mhz
Asus Maximus VIII Hero Skylake
Platinum EVGA 1200w PSU

I've been looking at the Acer Predator X34 for sometime now, but then realized it wasn't actually 4k it was just 1440p. A lot of people are swearing by it, but is there something out there (now or in the near future) that will match this display but at a 4k resolution?

Please let me know if there's anything now or coming new in 2016. Thanks!

P.S Price isn't a problem.

980ti SLI is about as close as you can get to playable 4K, but I personally still dont think 4K Gaming is worth it. The added resolution, for me, is simply not as good as turning everything up to ultra and being able to play at 100+fps.

With 4K, your stuck at 60hz, and you can forget maxing games out and being able to play at solid 60fps. Not to mention that a lot of games don't support it, and if they do, a lot of the time its no optimised at all (so you get things like ridiculously small UIs with unreadable text).

The reason people swear by the X34 is becuase its the monitor that offers the best gaming experience right now. 3440x1440p, 34" curved 21:9 IPS display, at 100hz.

A 980ti SLI rig will be absolutely great for that...

In my opinion, that is the monitor you should get to last you a good couple of years before 4K gaming is realistic mainstream option.
