Question What monitor should I buy?

So I have a gtx 1060 6GB,i5 4460 and 8 GB of RAM. And I want to upgrade my monitor(my current one is 1920x1080,60HZ).
I use my Computer mostly for gaming so I heard that I need to get one with more HZ,but how much REFRESH RATE can my rig handle? And also it is ok if the upgrade is 1080p and not 1440p. Just suggest me a monitor for a reasonable price. Thanks in advance.

Probably not worth it as your gpu might not handle the games on high fps ( fps matters with refresh rate as they need to be close) or higher resolution than 1080p.

Hmm, I recently bought the Viewsonic VX2458 24" Curved FHD 144Hz Gaming Monitor with Speakers from 200 bucks. It has 1ms and 144Hz and is pretty good. The display is very nice 1920 x 1080p and smooth and I enjoy watching movies, videos etc. and hooking it up from my laptop that has GTX 1080 Ti on it to play games, tho there is some ghosting on the corners in dark scenes but they aren't annoying. I highly recommend it and it's received great reviews!
(Oh it also has AMDFreesync in case you might change to an AMD graphics card )
