What monitor to buy ?

I want to buy a monitor that is over 30inches and less than £600. I need it for PC gaming and Xbox one gaming. I have an Nvidia GTX 1060 graphics card. I would be grateful for your advice.

Monitors over 30 inches are usually at higher resolutions than 1080p, eg. 1440p or 4K. Your GTX 1060 will run games at 1440p at reduced settings, but would really struggle with 4K. Xbox One tends to render its games at 720p or 900p and then upscale to the display's resolution, and they would look pretty bad on a 1440p or 4K display. Those large monitors are also quite expensive, which may make finding one in that price range difficult. If you really need a screen that big, you might want to look into getting a TV instead.
