i have $250 aud which is exactly $189.02 usd. i am debating whether i should get a new motherboard and another sapphire 260x so i can crossfire or a new phone. if i do decide to get a new motherboard what is a good motherboard (am3+) thats not sooo expensive but supports crossfire and will let me put a wifi card in whilst both the cards are in. i have a thermaltake versa h21 which is a atx case so any atx motherboard should work.. i think. if i dont go with that i can get a new phone but i dont know what phone i should get.. thinking maybe a htc one m7 since thats in the budget. if not any recommendations on which phone i should get? also i might get a ssd and two case fans..so whats the cheapest reliable ssd and 120mm fans that are good??? also one last thing.. is it even worth crossfiring in 2016.. this website http://www.game-debate.com/hardware/?gid=2096&graphics=Radeon%20R7%20260X%20Crossfire says "Radeon R7 260X Crossfire's Performance stands between GeForce GTX 960 and Radeon R9 380."

i lied that wasnt the last thing.. with crossfiring does it utilize 2gb vram from both of the cards or only one of them ????

specs ~ fx 6300, sapphire r7 260x, gigabyte ga78lmtusb3, hx650.

You do realize that NOTHING IS FASTER THAN ETHERNET FOR GAMING right?

Seriously, it seems like you don't want help, you want to get what you originally picked and just need someone to agree with your piss poor choice :pfff:

Don7t buy anything, just save up money so you can get a real graphics card and real CPU when you save up enough. In the mean time, try reading some real reviews for GPUs and CPUs, and learn the differences and how performance actually works. You'll be surprised at just how bad certain chips can be even if they sound great on paper.

Thing was $180 in the US, I forgot that you guys have 30% "tax" on everything.

Either way, crossfire is useless most of the time, don7t bother. Just save up money so you can get a better computer later (scrap the horrible CPU and GPU and get i3 6100 and Polaris 11 in a year or so)

tbh fx 6300 is good..have never gone over 80% while gaming (gta 5) and at stock speeds. im not rich if i were i would have a i7 5960x with four way sli titan x but im not so ya im not getting a low end i3.

i wanted to get a new motherboard in the first place because i cannot use a wifi card while my gpu in in it so i have to have a annoying ethernet cable going through the house so thats a reason i was getting a new mobo and i thought i might get the same gpu to crossfire it.

i still need a new mother board that i can use a wifi card while a gpu is in it lmao

You seriously need to read more benchmarks!!! The i3 6100 beats the FX6300 in basically everything, and in fact it's usually faster than a 8320 overclocked to 4.6GHz! (http://www.techspot.com/review/1087-best-value-desktop-cpu/page4.html)

You need to read more, you've clearly gotten some bad information somewhere and it's making you spend more money than you need to!

And as tea urchin said, consider selling off your current GPU to get a 380 or 960, both will be much better than the 260CF, which actually does not improve your gaming frame latency (stuck at the same as a single 260)

Why? USB ->wifi is a thing and works just fine, and you should always use ethernet when possible!

i already have a wifi card tbh and ethernet is ugly af. thanks for both your advice's but i can run most games medium to ultra settings with a single 260x so i might get new mobo and the same card.

Seriously cut your losses, the AM3+ platform is old, weak and end of life. I wouldn't waste any more money on it. At this time the only upgrade that makes is a switch to Intel. Not only is the i3 6100 significantly more powerful but is based on a platform which has future upgrade options
