What motherboard would you recommend for this setup?

I made the mistake of buying an Alienare Aurora R4 a couple of years ago, and I have upgraded it a bit. I was looking to move my components to a new case (or build a case), to get better airflow/cooling and space.

The problem is, the alienware motherboard consists of three boards of different sizes, which are all necessary for the function of everything.

I want to rid my setup of everything that is "Alienware", so a new motherboard should get it going.
My budget is preferably under about 250USD

I do have an Antec 900v2 case as well

Any tips about doing this or something that wouldn't work?
Will post pictures if needed, just ask!

You don't need an expensive mobo for a build so anything rather low end such as the ASRock extreme4 is good enough (~$160). Also, with the remainder of the money, I suggest a NZXT case which shouldnt cost more than $100 USD for a phantom 410 (which is a sick case imo, check it out).

That seems fair just a couple of questions, does everything I need plug into the mobo? like an WiFi adapter, which in the Alienware connected to a separate board 😵
And also, ASRock extreme4 has different motherboards, like the Z97 or Z77, anything in particular to look for?

OH SORRY! I got mixed up. Your cpu is a different cpu and is not the norm. You have to use a X79 MOBO and they are REALLY pricey! Here is a good budget one but it still is pricey :3

And also, unfortunately, there is no wifi included in most motherboards so you might need to buy a wifi adapter which typically fits in a PCIE slot (they can be bought for ~$15 or so)

Hmm, I did som research and found the same thing... I need a LGA 2011 socket for my processor.
That's a bummer though, they seem to be both hard to come by and expensive ;( I guess I should invest in it and rid my system of "alienware" 😛

Ahaha yeh man! Sorry about the mix up 😛 And if you need wifi, I suggest a ASUS pcie wifi adapter as they tend to be of solid quality!
