[SOLVED] what mounting screws do i use?

Recently bought Samsung SSD (2.5") but it came with no mount screws. All the screws on eBay say "for laptop". Are they the same for desktop?

Mounting screws come with the mobo or case, not the SSD. I do not know if the laptop ones are the same, but just wanted to tell you the above

The motherboards normally come along with the screws. But if you've misplaced them or running out on them, just buy M3 screw and they should do the job for you.

OK, I couldn't decide if they were M3 or 6-32 so this helps me a lot. Now to find an eBay seller that doesn't want me to buy 500 of them Thank you !

Ask around: family and friends. Co-workers. Anyone you know that tinkers with computers.

Good chance that someone will have a jar full....

And, depending on where you live, likely no harm in checking with a computer store. A friendly tech may be willing to gratuitously provide a few screws.

Just be sure about what screws are needed.

Been there, done that. I was lucky to get them from a hardware store nearby but that was back in 2019.
