I'm very intersted in a profession with computers(not in playing games)! I'm VERY interted, but don't know lot's of things! I can build a PC (I mean put all the parts together and make them work, overclocking, mostly everything the community is about)), solve some problems, well...I mean not a lot, I visit community really often and find LOTS of interesting stuff! My question is what occpupations are there? Can you discribe briefly? I LOVE hardware and I don't like programming becuase I think it is really(it is just my opinion) boring (you just type paths and all that stuff, right?)I LVE graphics stuff too, but I don't know if I should be able to draw well (be an artist? I'm bad a drawing!) I like all that network stuff. Anybody can help? i know there are thousands of different jobs out there! I just suck in ALL information about computers!(I'm not a nerdy geek though) try to explain everything a little simple... my knowledge of English isn't great. Maybe there are websites I can visit to find out about all that and things like required education(I just finished Middle School) and everything about this particular field of job? Any books I should read? huh? I'm bored!!! Need info! Please, Help!
Thank, You!

Best paths and options will open up from formally studying IT at school/college or uni.

At your level this is the best path, learn what you can, concentrate on business courses and skills, with IT too. If you dislike programming, learn some anyway, it gives you perspective. The best people in IT are solid all round knowledgable people with business skills.

What do you really want to do? Difficult question really I guess at your stage. You are currently thinking occupation/work rather than career right? Tough to know what you'll want in 15 years time. You can work towards building up your own business, being your own boss and probably getting return on whatever investment you put in. If you work hard, you'll do good cash and be your own boss.

Or, you can go into a corporate and get experience and training. Once you have 4 years or so under your belt, look around and see if you still want to be there - you could go self employed or continue on.

Bottom line, you'll need a good education, broad understanding of business and technology and you should have a very strong foundation. Nowadays technology is largely about professionalism. The big corporates are more looking now for technology people who understand business. Get a good education and keep your options open.

If you like networking try

I did semester 1 and loved it. I'll be going for semesters 2-4 if I'm good enough.
