Ive made a previous thread talking about the issues i was having and such, my pc isnt getting the frames its suppose to during gaming, and ive checked my utilizations of cpu and gpu, cpus is constantly maxed out at 100% whilst gaming, and my gpu is only getting to the 70-80 mark. So im wondering what my options are besides changing out the cpu if there is any. I dont really want to swap my cpu seen as i bought my pc from pc specialist, so id have to send the whole thing back and pay a lot of money for it. Also i dont feel confident replacing it myself and it would ruin my warranty if worse came to worse.

thats what i thought but what else could be causing it, ive checked for background programs but nothing else is running thats not suppose to

i have overwatch settings down at high which is 2 settings lower than max, turned AA off and shadow quality to low and im still only in the 80 mark which ive seen drop down to 50 in the intense fights

What resolutions are you running overwatch at?

Overwatch will happily make use of at least 6 threads and can be CPU intensive at times. There's a 50 fps difference between a 4690k and a 4770k.

That having been said, your rig should be pulling over 100 fps. If you don't have any other programs using significant resources, I would check the CPU/GPU thermals next.

I run a stream in the background on my second monitor usually which showed to be using 20-30% of my cpu, that being said even when i turned it off it was still going to 100% (not constant but still hits it) and my fps improves only slightly +10/20max

nothing is out of the ordinary when im not gaming in task manager, it just sits at 0-10% utilization, and i was checking all yesterday my temps whilst gaming everything is fine my gpu was sitting at around 60-75 celsius and my cpu was around the 45-55 Celsius mark

so turning some settings down caused me to get an average fps (during small fights) of 110, and then intense moments down to 80 minimum, this is still lower than usual also my cpu is still using 100% if i was to keep it this way, and my cpu was to be running 100% alot will it cause my cpu to eventually die?
