What PC part should I upgrade and what to?

Hi, I got this gaming PC in around March 2014, but I think i am going to have to upgrade it to play the newest next gen games like farcry4 and the division.

My specs are:
.Corsair 500Watt PSU
.ASUS A58M-A
.AMD A8-5600 Quad Core 3.6GHz
.Samsung 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
.1TB 7200RPM SATA 3 Hard Drive
.nVidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB
.Microsoft Windows® 8.1 64-bit

I'm not sure whether to upgrade to something like this: i7 4790 Quad Core 4x 3.6GHz 8MB Cache (8 Threads) with ASUS Z97 K : 4X REAR USB3.0: 2X REAR USB2.0: 2X FRONT USB2.0 and Corsair H60 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler. http://www.powerc.com/uk/ps/Motherboards%20Intel%20Motherboards/1/code/ASUS-Z87-K/act/gpage

Or whether to upgrade my graphics card to a gtx 970 / 980. I'm not sure whether to spend alot of money on new CPU and motherboard or upgrade my GPU. Please help as i'm really new to computers. If you think I should get something else and you have recommendations, Please tell me as I have no idea what is a good deal ect. as i'm very new to building PC's and PC gaming in general.
