I just want your opinion guys, some said it must be 30% of the budget... is it practical to buy an high end card but can be obsolete after 2-3yrs or should i buy a mid range card and buy new one every time the card cant handle the latest games?

I think a good one is looking for a graphics card that costs about a third of the entire price of the system ($400 gpu for $1200 system)
Using this, a GPU could last you a while, but i would upgrade when it starts to not be able to handle the newest games at atleast medium settings 50+ FPS

I am saying this for 1080p, 2k and 4k are way different stories.

i think i stick to 1080p, 1440p and 4k monitors are very expensive...since i dont have a decent system yet, i'm focused more on saving money and if i have the money i'll buy a decent gaming pc....i think i'm able to buy this on december or early next year..but i also thought about the next generation of nvidia codename "pascal" were said have performance 10x to maxwell, i dont know if this is true...my target budget approximately $1200 since i dont live in the US. I realized i need to buy a new monitor also

yeah i'll be picking an i5 because it is a sweetspot for gaming, i'm not really sure for the mid range card though

i dont buy things online...i know it is tedious to compare price and visit a couple of computer stores...lol i actually looking at pcpartpicker right now

oohhh now 40% lol, i'm confused right now...i'm afraid if i allocate so much on video card and the rest of the parts have low quality

Another option: You could tell us your budget, currency and region that you're dealing with, website of your preference to purchase items, and what you plan on using the computer for? Also does the budget include a monitor or do you already have one. If for gaming, what games will you be playing and what resolution?

50,000 Php (philippine peso) ~ approximately $1086.95 ~ $1162.79, region: Philippines. website: http://pcx.com.ph/ just look for the dealer's price on the pricelist or https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B4GM24LnnqwtSUN2VDNxRWt6NjA&usp=sharing this is from another store's pricelist though it is january 2015, other stores are not so updated so i didnt include them
for gaming purposes, the budget doesnt include monitor...i dont know which monitor is fit for the specs of the gaming pc i'm having thoughts of asus VX228H...
i'll be playing GTA V, batman arkham knight, witcher 3 the wild hunt, call of duty black ops 3, metal gear solid: V phantom pain, assassin's creed unity and syndicate, madmax and hitman 2015 for 1080p. 1440p and 4k is very expensive in my country.
