Hello dear experts

The question is pretty much what the title is describing

My mouse is the logitech G303 and my monitor is the Dell U2414H.
No acceleration, no angle snapping, nothing. Windows sensitivity is set at 6 out of 11. Dpi sensitivity level inside the Logitech software is set at 800 and the enhance pointer precision is off.
My mouse has the option to set the polling rate to 125, 250, 500, and 1000hz
Will I see any difference to a 60Hz monitor?
I mostly play Company of Heroes an RTS at 1920 1080 resolution.
Also should I enable via nvidia control panel the vsync or not to play the game?
As I understand by enabling vsync you can get rid of tearing, but suffer input/mouse lag.
Is that correct?

I want to be as smooth and responsive as possible.

Vysnc does increase input lag. I wouldn't say it's mouse lag since any input like kb is affected too. For most, it's negligible. Some hardware tends to have a larger increase so you have to just try and see. The biggest issue imo with vsync is micro stuttering when dropping below 60fps.

Usually I'd go with at least 1600dpi for gaming. 800dpi is a basic office mouse. Higher dpi can read smaller mouse movements. I'd set the dpi higher and lower sensitivity so it moves the same distance across the screen. Polling rate is how often it reports the position to the pc. Most gaming mice are set to 1000hz. It really shouldn't make much difference but you might as well set it to 1000 just so you know that it's as low input lag as possible.

It doesn't really matter. I always set maximum, and if something going wrong with mouse pointer, then I start decreasing. But as long as you have good mouse and good mousepad, that should not happen.

Nope.

Check both options and see which one gives you better display. Then stick to it.

Yes (to tearing), No (to lag).

So if I use nvidia inspector and cap the fps to 58-59 is like a two win scenario , is basically like using vsych without the input lag that the use of vsync causing. The question about polling rate I think isn’t so important if i guess right. I just set it to 1000 and that’s it. When u say:
‘’ I'd set the dpi higher and lower sensitivity ‘’ lower the in game sensitivity or the windows sensitivity?

Capping fps sometimes doesn't remove tearing but if you don't have tearing issues, then yes, it's the best solution.

It doesn't matter where as sensitivity settings work the same. Me, I just prefer if my mouse moves the same amount everywhere so I'm already used to it. So usually windows options and hopefully the game works off of that.

I feel that by having the dpi to 1600dpi and the sensitivity at windows is 6, the mouse gain an increase to speed but not to precision. That’s why I’m not so sure about it. I guess I have to try different combos to found out the proper one. I was testing the 1600dpi with the sensitivity at 5 in windows and was quite pleasant!
So let’s resume this:
Polling rate set at 1000, use nvidia inspector to cap at 58-59 fps, and make some experiments to find out the perfect combo between mouse sensitivity (windows) and logitech dpi.
