What processor is this?

So my brother is giving me a motherboard and a processor for free, he told me that it is a 3rd generation I7 2.97ghz but when i look up what he told me all i find is a intel mobile processor. I dont know if he doesnt know what processor he is giving me or what but im getting it in a few weeks so if i dont find out now ill find out then.

Its not third Gen, its first Gen. Nahelem as we know it.
