Hi, unfortunately your mobo only supports 6th and 7th gen

max upgrade would be i7 7700

The only question i would ask is this . Is the motherboard the same for the Lenovo model that the 7700 comes with ? I only ask this because if the Lenovo has a different motherboard could have slightly better vrm cooling because the cpu will pull more juice. At this stage of the game the 7700 isnt going to give you that much more in all honesty

Why do you want to change the processor?

What, specifically, is this laptop doing that does not meet your needs?
I get intermittent freezing while playing certain games, even though I meet the recommended settings from the publisher.

Cpu usage spikes to 100% and i have to close out.

Will an I7 7700 fix that?

If you have a oem PC like dell, lenovo, HP etc there are chances that your PC will not boot even if you installed a processor which is compatible with chipest and socket type.
