i currently have an rm 650 bronze psu and I'm gonna get that CPU along with a new motherboard and 32 gb ram. should I be ok if I still with the same psu or should I buy another one, if so, which

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Corsair's don't have a bronze rated PSU within the RM series. In fact you might be referring to the CX series of PSU's. How old is the unit and what did is it powering till today?

Where are you located, what is your budget for the PSU purchase and what is your preferred site for purchase? ATX or an SFX build?

yeah i meant cx mb, i bought the unit in 2023 may and it powered my 1060 6gb and i5 7600k. i live in canada and i wanna spend at a max $100 but i also dont wanna cheap out on a psu which is why i asked whats recommended. usually check stuff on amazon or canadiancomputers and i dont know atx or sfx

Gonna ask this again cause my question wasn’t fully answered last time. I’m getting a cpu with a new mobo and ram off a friend. I9 11900k and I also got a 3060 Ventus. I wanted to know if my 650 psu bronze would be good for this build. When asking my friend he told me I should have an 850 plat just so that none of these components fry over time. I’ve had the psu for about a year and a half and the gpu is a year old.

It's the grey labelled CX unit, correct?

If so, you should be fine I'd have looked into a higher quality PSU, 750W unit( or higher due to transient load spikes). Just make sure the components you're buying have the necessary number of connectors as your PSU.

If your PSU lacks said connectors for your parts, you either have;
a| the wrong parts for your build
or
b| the wrong PSU for your parts

Please stick to one thread.
