Specs:
CPU: 7700x
GPU:Rx 6800
RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000
Motherboard: ASUS b650 plus Wi-Fi
(yes I am aware that the psu is F-tier, hence the reason for replacement.

It *might* be. Like the consequences would be hidden for a long time if you ate a pound of bacon every morning for breakfast, internal damage can be caused *long* before it causes anything visible such as parts failing or sudden power off.
Yeah, I think you are right because I could see massive amounts of dust in the PSU area of the case, not to mention the CPU is probably overheating. No wonder it runs Roblox at less than 30 fps. (my younger siblings were complaining that Roblox was too laggy on the PC) well, actually the Intel HD 2500 graphics are probably the reason.

I know that PSUs become less efficient over time, so would splurging on a high-efficiency PSU (80+ titanium) increase lifespan?
Well, I'm not sure about that. I mean efficiency and lifespan are not the same thing. You would be better off buying a well-built gold-rated unit and save (invest?) the difference in price and in 7 or so years time buy another one.

My old HP prebuilt had a proprietary PSU 80+ platinum PSU. It really is a shame that it was proprietary and only 400W. If it had not been proprietary and 700W I could have reused it.

I agree, but if at all possible I would love something a little bit closer to $100 on amazon. (It's listed on Amazon at $143 which is a little steep for me right now.)
I would suggest this then:

Looks like a B-tier? I can't find the exact model on the tier list.
