What RAM do I need?

Hi, I'm 13 years old and I've always been using computers my dad built, but when we were going to build one together, I noticed he never used RAM.. So all the time i have been playing games with just a hard drive. Anyways, what type of RAM do I need? I have 3 PCI slots and this is what they look like:

Sorry but those slots are not for RAM, they are for expansion cards. Do you know what the model of your motherboard is?

oh I'm sorry! XD I always thought that was the RAM.
I changed the picture, is that the RAM?
My model os Gigabyte 7VM (yes i know it's old)

Oh wait, one more question.
I have 1 DDR1 slot and one DDR2, does that mean
I can not use 2 RAMs of the same type? (I.e 2x2 GB DDR2)

Yes it does mean that. You will need a DDR1 for the DDR1 slot and a DDR2 for the ddr2 slot. Glad to help
