I would get a 3200Mhz DDR4 (CL16 or lower) RAM. They are the best value in my opinion cost per performance. Also get two sticks sold together for dual channel compatibility. 16Gb is normally what is enough these days and should be enough for a couple of more years.

This depends on motherboard.
If motherboard allows ram overclocking, then you can use faster modules also.
Without ram OC you're limited to 2666mhz.
