Question What screw thing is this for M.2? How to install m.2?

How do I install the m.2 SSD over the thing? read below.

I have a Z370 D3H rev 1 and I'll get a SSD, and it'll be 80mm, now I've checked my mobo and a weird thing is sticking out of the 80mm hole. And the screw is over that, ik there should be a thing under the screw but I can't manage to unscrew the thing. That looks correct. There should be a screw with a standoff underneath it. The SSD does not sit flat against the motherboard, it's slightly raised up on the standoff.

So what am i missing? The screw?

So what I have (in the image) is it the standoff? Can I remove it with my bare hands or screwdriver is required. I tried it with bare and I couldn't get it to unscrew

Your photo shows the screw on top with the standoff underneath. You probably need a screwdriver to get them apart.

This is the answer I was looking for. If that's the screw then my stand off is really long oof..

Do you think the screw that I have is wide enough for SSD semi circle? I'm a little confused it'll clear when I get my hands on the m.2

If it came with the motherboard it should be fine.
