like what are the general screws that you will need, i bought a case from a friend, and it didnt come with the screws, and im going to be going to FRY's tomorrow and i dont know what screws to get.
half of them are 6-32 of various lengths
half are M3 i think, or M3.5
yeah, it's a mix of SAE and Metric as far as i know
some are countersunk, some are pan head
nearly all are #2 Philips drive, though

but what screws are needed, and what for, cause i know i need the standoffs, and motherboard mounting screws, and the 2 screws to mount my GPU, but idk if im missing anything, cause i have the 4 screws for the psu, and my hdd is tool less , but besides that idk if there is anything, and if there isnt what are the screws needed for the GPU, MOTHERBOARD, and is there a certian kind of standoffs i need?
depends on the case. most of the PSU-style (6-32) screws are also used for expansion slot covers, and i think for 3.5" hard drives. the M3 screws are used for DVD drives, 2.5" HDD/SSD. some cases use the 6-32 screws for the side panels and to attach the mobo to the standoffs, while others use the M3 size or even some other size.
if you don't mind "butchering" the metal parts a bit, the larger 6-32 size can be used in place of the smaller M3, but only in places where it's sheetmetal, so i'd avoid using it on an SSD for example.
