It comes down to personal preference really. If it were me, I'd be buying a GTX 770.
The AMD cards in the same range are usually less money, but I personally have never had luck with them, and I've had 3 cards of theirs all about 3-4 years apart, each time going the cheaper way hoping they'd changed but, sadly I was disappointed.
Again, that's only my personal experience though, there's a lot of folks out there using AMD stuff with no issues whatsoever, I just won't ever use them again after what I've been through.
If your budget is high enough, and you are thinking of a GTX 770, the asus card has been benchmarked at a steady speed of almost 1400mhz at only 73 degrees celcius under load.
