Hi all, i'm in the market for a new adventure game.
I went to a local store and looked at rows upon rows of new games that
i know very little about.
So whats a good newish adventure game with a bit of longevity?

oh, THAT kind - i think you might want to head over to the c.s.i.p.g.action
group then.

But from what you said I think you'd probably enjoy "Beyond Good and Evil"
(not exactly new) or even the 2 latest Prince of Persia ones.

Chronicles of Riddick (quite recent) also comes to mind - mostly action
with some rpg/adventure elements.

This is not an adventure game by any stretch, plus it is extremely
violent, and has high system requirements.
Let's stick with Syberia 1 & 2, Longest Journey, Dark Fall, like that.

And *WHO* said it was? Did you bother to read what I wrote?

And how exactly is that relevant to the discussion? Part I

And how exactly is that relevant to the discussion? Part II

No, let's stick with games that are pertinent to the subject matter at
hand, like that.

The OP mentioned Tomb Raider earlier, which is basically a 3D
action/platform hybrid game with some adventure elements - the ones you
mentioned aren't.

This may not be the most appropriate group to discuss it (as I also
pointed out in my first post) but limiting your answers to on-topic only
games will hardly be of any help to anyone.

I was pedantic, you're right :) But to go from tombraider to Riddick
is quite a leap, especially given the brutal nature of Riddick's gameplay
(I've played it twice, it's a great game). I am all for fully-3D adventure
games, but how many of those are there.
