What should I buy?

Specs:
GPU: GTX 1050ti
CPU-FX-4300
RAM: some random 8 gb of ram

I can either get a AMD FX-8350 and I can install it right away. Or I can get a newer Intel processor like a i3-7100 and i can let it sit in my closet for a couple weeks and when I get money I can buy the motherboard and ram. What do you think? Any opinion helps

Stick with what you have right now for a little longer and save for a platform change. FX CPU's are a wasted investment at this point.
