All of my PCs have CPUs that arent supported by Windows 11..if I go ahead and install Win11 on them there is no guarantee that I will receive security updates!!!

Windows 10s support also ends in October 2025!!!

What should I do after this date ? Throw my PCs away ?

1. You have 2 years.

2. Windows 10 will NOT magically stop working on that date.

3. Yours, and millions of other systems on the planet are not currently viable for the default WIn 11 upgrade.

Currently, 8th Gen Intel systems and later are eligible to upgrade to Win 11.

8th gen CPUs came out in 2017.
By 2025, they will be 8 years old.

As such, will be near 9 years old by then.
How long do you usually keep a system?

There are methods to forcefit WIn 11 on currently unsupported systems.

Or, repurpose and put Linux on them. Home file server, maybe.

Windows 11 will have normal software security updates on your system. But it can not provide the hardware security updates on older systems.
I would not worry about that loss.

I would also not worry about win 10 support ending.
All that means is that new features will not be added.
Security updates will continue.

If you are running well and there are no win 10 features you need, stick with win 10.
