What should I do after upgrading my processor?

I'm upgrading from an Athlon II x2 250 to a Phenom II x4 b95. Is there anything software related I should do before/after the upgrade?

No you don't need to change any software. And your upgrade is minimal since those processors are updated. Single core performance is identical but you will be gaining 2 extra cores.

If you don't change the motherboard, nothing.

Those CPUs are the same socket, so you should not run into any issues upgrading the CPU. To be safe, you could do a BIOS update on the motherboard, but it may not be needed.
