[SOLVED] What should I do if I won't be able to get a 3070?

It's been months ever since I planned on getting a new PC. Everything's set-up already but my dad wants to buy in a store and not online since he does not trust online stores. I was originally getting a 2060 Super but the 3070 is too much of a good deal to not notice. 2080 Ti performance for that much cheaper. The 3070 starts at around 29,500 PHP or roughly 600 USD here. The 2060 Supers that I can find for sale are pretty close to that price point. If I'm not able to get a 3070, should I just continue on waiting? I don't have a current gaming PC or even gaming capable PC like many of you do and I'm not waiting to upgrade, I'm waiting to buy. Would it be smart to just get a cheap graphics card as a replacement like a 1050 Ti while I wait for more 3070s to come out? Also is 650W enough for a 3700X and 3070 or should I upgrade to 750?

Whether you wait is completely up to you. You'll need to decide whether the money saved (or performance per dollar gained) is worth waiting a couple weeks to a month. I don't usually advise those placeholder GPUs, but if you really can't wait, then sure, go for it.
3700X + 3070 should do fine on 650W

I'm getting pretty impatient already, so I'd want to have it as soon as possible. Do you think an RX 570 is a good placeholder card? Maybe a cheaper card? I have a friend that has a budget PC (3200G) and he has no graphics card, so I was thinking that I could maybe just sell it to him when I have a 3070 already.

My suggestion is for you to wait until RTX 3070 comes out. Even if you're unable to get RTX 3070 the previous card (like RTX 2060 or above) will has it's price drop down. So you'll get even cheaper brand new card and save some cash for further upgrade.

RTX 3070 will likely come out on October if I'm not wrong. You just have to wait more likely 1 month less. But if you're impatient, and want to buy good cheap entry-level card, I'd suggest you go for GTX 16 series and buy the labeled "Super" one. Since, the GTX 16 Series "Super" card use GDDR6 technology, it really boost the performance than the GDDR5 technology and the technology is quite "future-proof" for maybe 2-3 years. The RX 570 is already 3 years old. It's not that "future-proof" if you want to buy it brand new. Maybe the used RX 570 will worth the price nowadays.

From what I know, 16 Series like a 1660 Super is like $200, even higher in my country. Not worth it for a placeholder. I don't really care about future-proofing for a placeholder card, I only want something decent to start on while I wait for a 3070.
