What should I do to upgrade my PC?

Are you wanting to do a full rebuild? If so, what's your price range?

If not... wait until AMD Zen launches. There's nothing that you can upgrade to right now in regards to CPU with AMD that would be worth it.

You have enough RAM. If you upgrade your GPU any higher than say, a 980, it will undoubtedly bottleneck.

If you're going Intel way, check out this build:

Or the higher cost, much better variant:

Im not going full upgrade, build is only a year old now. I was thinking a cpu and gpu upgrade. When is zen supposed to come out do we no yet?

Don't really have a budget, pc is already built and working just wanting to start making it perform better. Any ideas are welcome.

The obvious thing to upgrade is the GPU. Unless you overclock, a CPU upgrade would be fairly underwhelming I believe.

While a more powerful GPU would be 'bottlenecked', if you choose wisely you could carry that GPU over to your next build. Just a thought.

Well is there a good gpu cpu upgrade u would recommend, would like to keep with amd so I don't have to buy a motherboard.

He doesnt need a full upgrade.

Considering the specs of the GTX 750ti and the current crop of GPUs, any of them would be an improvement. I've seen the GTX 960 is recommended by some. It depends how concerned with performance balance you are and how much you're willing to spend.

Honestly, the 8350 (which I have in my AMD build) is a waste of money at this point when going from the 6300. You won't see any difference. Wait until more Zen information is released, and hopefully the socket will be AM3+ so you don't have to replace the motherboard too.

Alright thanks for the info.

That is one thing I'm worried about with the zen is it not being AM3+ and I hope it's not going to cost an arm and a leg.

It won't be. Even if it's not AM3+, which it most likely will be, it will probably be $350 at most to upgrade with a new motherboard. Most likely a lot less if in USD. They're looking at their core audience to be mid-range PC gamers. AMD have always been cheaper than Intel anyway. When the 8350 launched it was about $250 CAD for the CPU.

Got cha, I'm still fairly new to all this obviously, and I'm in the us so it'll be usd for me.
