What should I get? i5-2400 or i3-6100?

Looking to upgrade my pc.

Given a choice between the two, the i3 6100. But you know that the i3 will take a different motherboard, RAM and new install of the OS if you already have the 1155 socket motherboard for the i5 2400, right?

What cpu do you have now? The i5 2500 and i3 6100 dont fit on the same motherboard.

If you have a motherboard that supports the 2th gen intel cpus, try to find a cheap i7 2600 and you can run any game you want without problems.
