Hi there,

First thing to consider when overclocking is if you actually need to. Are you playing games right now that have higher requirements then your gpu can meet? Overclocking can potentially shorten the lifespan of hardware, so you should avoid it if you don't actually need to.

If you still want to overclock then you should do so very carefully. Not all hardware is the same. Even though you and someone else might have the same gpu, he might be able to overclock it more then you can so there is no way to tell what you can overclock it to. Start by downloading a stress test program that will push your gpu to its max. When you have a program that can do this, start by raising the clock speed by a very small amount and save the changes. Then run the stress test program and look for fragmentation of the image and artifacts. If you start to see these things, turn back the speed to the last time they did not show up. That should be you'r max overclock speed. Now just run some games and make sure to look for artifacts and monitor your gpu temp's to make sure it dose not overheat.

Thanks for the advice.Just for clarification my psu has enough power be able to over clock my gpu
