What should I upgrade my CPU or GPU?

I'm quite an avid gamer and like my games to run smoothly, so currently I have a i5-4690 3.50GHz processor and a GTX 760 4GB graphics card. I only have the money to upgrade one of these so I was wondering which one I should upgrade to get the best out of my games (but nothing overly expensive like a GTX TITAN X)

GPU upgrade will give you the most immediate and noticeable increase in performance.

What is the brand and model of your power supply unit?

What is your maximum budget amount for the graphics card?

I think something like the 970 or the 390 wich are the performance per dollar sweetspot but your budget and your psu will determine that
