My current config is
FX 6300,
Zotac GTX 660,
Corsair Vengeance 8GB,
MSI 97A G46,
Corsair CX 500

1)I am planning to upgrade my GPU to play games like Witcher3,FarCry4 in ultra settings(Benq RL2455M Full HD).I have zeroed on GTX 980 and GTX 980ti.Which is better value for money?

2) I am planning to get it from Amazon US as GPU is cheaper even after shipping charges.Good idea?

3)The make of the card?(EVGA,ASUS,ZOTAC).......(No MSI please)

4)Since the GPU is high end I would like to upgrade other things that are really necessary now and later others incrementally. Please list now and later uprades(that can be postponed). Also later I would like to go for intel build slowly.

Overall budet $1100-1250(only for CPU, GPU, Mobo, PSU and Tower). Others I am not upgrading.

....Added 5)Is water cooling necessary because my current GTX 660 used to touch 90C+ so had to keep the side panel of the Intex shit mid tower open.Suggest a decent cooling Tower too.Full tower should be the choice right.

Haha I know I need to change the CPU,PSU and the Mobo. Its just that I want to know which I can avoid for now.

980ti all the way. Definitely get a non-reference. From a few articles I read, the reference just doesn't OC well. Don't fall for the marketing gimmick of the "Classified" or extreme-clocked cards of other brands. $50-100 more for a minor tweak...??? You can OC yourself.

What resolution are you playing? 1080 or 1440? 980ti will win for sure in 1440.

I've never had an issue with EVGA. 3 generations with them. SLI 260s, 460s, and now my 780s. Had a Sapphire 6970 SLI setup before my 780s and had driver issues like crazy! Warranty is fantastic. If you buy a card near launch date, they have the step-up program which is fantastic.

CPU would be possible issue in your future. Likely change that first after GPU
PSU is OK for just one card, but will definitely be getting warm. The 980ti will put you around 330-370 @ full load.

1)But again if I buy GTX 970 it will be a problem for upcoming games needing more than 3.5GB like BF4 did.

2)Yes I checked the price in final checkout .
EVGA GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0 and ASUS STRIX-GTX980-DC2OC for INR 41,293.

Zotac GeForce GTX 980Ti for INR 52,175

3)I have had bad experiences with MSI so no.

4)I think 700W PSU from Corsair should suffice

Its no good getting a 980 or 980Ti with a FX6300. You need at least an i5. Otherwise the CPU will bottleneck the GPU.

Look at reviews and benchmarks to help decide which graphic card to buy.

You don't need water cooling.

Try -

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($328.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($99.99 @ B&H)
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($128.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($57.89 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Crucial MX100 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($77.77 @ B&H)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($44.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card ($329.99 @ B&H)

Total: $1358.03

You haven't said whether the GPU is part of the $1250 budget.

1) At 1080p, there is no need for more than 3GB VRAM. Even the latest great game Witcher 3 requires 1.1GB at 1080p

Some games like CoD:AW fills the available VRAM pool. 'Filling' and 'requiring' VRAM are 2 different things.
Other than that as per your plan you are going to use it with a FX 6300, where GTX 980 will be bottlenecked. GTX 970 will also be bottlenecked but a bit less.

2) Ok there is a discount on amazon

3) MSI got better

4) Seasonic S12G 550 or Antec Truepower Classic 550 should suffice

I just want it to be future proof for atleast 5years thats why GTX 980ti and I taking i7 4790k.So now PSU should be around 750W?

For GTX 980 Ti and i7 4790K, a 700W PSU is enough. Again I recommend the same PSU series. If you are going to buy CPU later then wait for Skylake. Also i don't think you will be getting all these in the budget you specified. Also there is nothing as future proofing.
