What Should I Upgrade On My PC To Run Most Of The New Games At Ultra Settings?

FOR SOME REASON I CAN'T MAINTAIN 60FPS IN A LOT OF GAMES I GET A LOT OF FPS DROPS WHICH ARE REALLY ANNOYING.

My Pc Specs Are:

- GTX 1080 STRIX

- INTEL CORE i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz

- 16 RAM

- PowerSupply: COOLER MASTER G750M

- MONITOR LG 2560x1080 ULTRAWIDE

With those specs you should be able to run at high to ultra. Although to maintain 60fps+ at ultra is a tough task, my newest build can handle it but it was also just built yesterday. Maybe another gpu for sli?

You can upgrade to sli if your motherboard supports it, you can lower specs performancewise in your games, you could try overclocking your gpu, but your CPU can't be over locked

I jsut recently upgraded to a i7 7700k GTX 1080 FTW and 32gb of DDR4 RAM

What games specifically? Is there a possibility that they are sub-optimal in that specific resolution? How close are you getting to 60fps, and how far does it drop?

The 6700 + 1080 should be able to handle pretty much anything in 2560 x 1440, so 2560 x 1080 should be smooth.

With what I see, you should be able to play any game at ultra 60fps even at 2560x1080.

I think the problem is something else.
