Hi, I don't really know that much about computer specs so I decided to ask for help here. I want to upgrade my PC but I don't know which part needs to be upgraded. My specs: intel i5-6500, radeon r9 270 2GB, 4GB ram ddr4 2133Mhz. I mostly play World of Warcraft.

If you want to play newer games at higher settings, then yes, definitely GPU upgrade. 6 GB GTX 1060 would be a good upgrade, though depending on your cash situation, I'd even recommend a GTX 1070. I've seen some insanely cheap prices on second hand GTX 1070's if you're fine with getting one used.

nVidia pretty much dominates the GPU scene top to bottom right now. If you're gaming at 1080p res, 6 GB 1060 should be fine. If you want to go higher than 1080p, then get at least a GTX 1070.

I bought it about 2 months ago, can I buy the same I did before, will it work?

You won't know till you try it , even identical modules purchased at different times can be incompatible.

It all depends on the title since everything up to the 480/1060 basically trades blows with each other. Nvidia definitely dominates the high end scene though with the 1070 on up.

Indeed, the 480 is a decent card. But I've been hearing about too many problems with them, doing weird things at various settings and whatnot. I haven't been a big fan of AMD since the 280 / 290 series cards... had so many problems with those cards that I haven't touched AMD since. Not to discourage others or anything, mind you... just preference :)
