what should i upgrade?

Im planning to upgrade but i cant buy all of them at once. can someone give me ideas what parts should i upgrade first and the parts I should hold until i gather enough money. I prefer an intel build but amd will do thank you in advance!

Yes. Phenom is like 3 generations old of a CPU so that means most compatible components in that PC are years old as well.

Keep your current PC and just slowly build a new one in the mean time. I wouldn't invest anything more into that current PC.

If budget is an issue. Then I'd look into an AMD Ryzen build. You normally can get them cheaper with great performance compared to Intel counterpart.

What do you plan to use this PC for? We need to know what to target the parts towards which will greatly change the price outcome depending on your needs.

When you upgrade you need to do things in kind of a series. First I would do your cpu/ram/mb together. The worst thing you can do is buy one or two of those items, wait a few months, then buy the rest only to find out that one of the first purchases was bad and you can't return it to the seller.

After you buy those, I would look at your video card. It is very old and dated and would then limit you on the games you can play at certain FPS and settings. Right now though, video card prices are jumping all over the place because of the left over miner craze from last year. You might be able to find a decent used one on Ebay or some other tech selling site but it is always buyer beware.

The major reason why I offered the AMD build is because they said they will support the socket until 2020 where Intel usually changes interface every 2 years.

You can always look for second-hand using a Z87/97 motherboard then you get to keep your DDR3
i7-4970k being the best to get, but anything in the 3/4th gen would be better.

for the budget, its around 300-400$. i live in the philippines where prices of pc parts are higher than US because of tax. I was thinking to upgrade first the CPU+mobo+memory(ddr4) like @drinkingcola86 said but i dont know if its reasonable because my gpu is very old. And I saw in youtube that the integrated graphics in some ryzen build are better than my current setup

You do not have to reuse the HD7770, with the 2400g. The 2200g and 2400g have integrated graphics.

Checking a couple of the sites as of today, I didn't see the 2400g there for sale yet. Might be a little bit before it hits the Philippines but that would be a very solid option for you right now. the build that Logain linked is good. The option on that price though is that the faster the memory you can get, that is also supported for your MB, the better. The APU uses part of the DDR4 ram for any overflow video ram and having as fast as you can pay for is usually better. I would aim for something in the 3200 or the 3400 speed range.

i would love to try international shipping but unfortunately, in my country packages that imported inside where received by local post offices(gov) and they add almost 50% of the price. i dont think newegg can cover it. international shipping here sucks
