What should my frames be at, and should I upgrade CPU?

Hey all,

I am running with these specs:
-AMD Phenom II x4 980 @ 3.7Ghz
-8GB 1333 RAM
-AMD Radeon HD 7970 (not Ghz, not overclocked)

According to what I am seeing here I should be able to run Battlefield 4 on high settings at 1080p relatively easily, but I often find my frames dropping to 40's and sometimes even 30's when there isn't even much going on. I'm wondering if this is normal, or if a cpu upgrade is in the works. I've been thinking about upgrading to an FX-8350, but given those benchmarks I'm not convinced it will make a noticeable difference.

What do you guys think?

Apart from what I've already stated, I have a 500W PSU and a 320GB 7200rpb WD HDD. Nothing special, but those things shouldn't make a difference to my frames, right?
