Hi, i just finished my first own build pc by using the secondhand part that i bought online. so currently my system is running on:

Processor : AMD Athlon II x2 270
Motherboard : GA-780T-USB3
Ram : 4gb 1333 ddr3 single channel (will add more later)
PSU : 300w
GPU : GTX 750ti 2gb

so after finish building it i just realized that cpu is bottlenecking my gpu. so what cpu upgrade should i get ? is phenom series good enough ? i'm just using it to play classic title games.

Looking at AM3 compatible CPUs, optimal choice is Athlon X4 with high clock speed (around 4Ghz). It is a true quad core CPU with 4 cpu and 4 fpu core segments, so it is not lacking in any way. The performace level it offers is near some older i5 CPU and paired with a decent GPU it can provide enjoyable gaming experience, though you should probably use mid/high game settings.
