what to do after replace the hard drive

My hard drive is dead so i brought a new one to replace it. Can you help me what to do next after i replace my hard drive for my hp G71-340US notebook. Thanks.

reinstall the os. hopefully you have make system recovery disk. or go to hp website to buy one.

Thank you, i did make one but one of the disc is corrupted so i guess i have to order one from hp.
