Hello everybody,

After 11 years of continuous usage it is time to replace my HP Pavilion w2207h monitor.

The market offers too many choices. I was very happy with the w2207h mainly because of:

  • Solid base with height adjustment capability.
  • Contrast ratio up to 3000:1. Bright colors. (I see, anything beyond the standard 1000:1 costs an arm and a leg.)
  • HDMI support.
  • 16:10 aspect ratio.
I am looking for a monitor with similar characteristics for every day office use. I would love to avoid the 16:9 aspect ratio. (I see, because somebody decided this should be the standard it cannot be avoided.)

Can you suggest replacement options?

Thanks,

The monitor will be connected to a Dell Inspiron 15 (3537) laptop via HDMI port for standard, average, every day, office use. Currently, I can spend up to 100 Euros so the question becomes as simple as

"Any decent budget PC monitors you know of?"
